At 11am there was a tree planting ceremony on the East side of St Catherine's. The planting was to replace a tree that died in honor of former Teacher/ Coach & Athletic Director John McGuire. Marie Welsh was instrumental in getting the new tree. She contacted Rob McKee SCHS Science Teacher and Environmental Club Advisor. Zach Prideaux SCHS Theology Teacher coordinated today's ceremony. Jeff Pulda who started the McGuire Golf Scramble in 2001 utilized funds raised over the years to pay for the new tree. The McGuire Scramble money initially was used for freshmen scholarships. The outing was renamed McGuire/Letsch Scramble and the money raised is now used to assist various club/ team activities at SCHS.

John McGuire led the Angels to 6 WiSAA State Basketball Championships '58, '59, '61, '69, '71, '77. During his Championships runs '58 - '61 Judy gave birth to their four children - Mike '59, Tom '59, Mary Beth '60 & Cathy in '61.

Racine St. Catherine’s Home Game Protocols and Procedures
All tickets must be purchased ahead of time at http://spicket.events/schsangels
Ticket sales will open 1 week prior to each event
Ticket sales close at 2:00pm the day of the event for varsity football games as well as JV2/JV/Varsity boys basketball games. Any individual(s) not purchasing tickets by 2:00pm will not be allowed into the game
Tickets can be printed at home to be scanned at the event or shown in the Ticket Spicket app on cellular devices to be scanned. NO SCREENSHOTS ACCEPTED
Gates/entrance close 30 minutes after the scheduled start time of the varsity event. Anyone not in the game at this time will not be allowed in
Refunds will only be issued for ticket purchases if the event is canceled
No re-entry to the event, once you leave you will not be allowed back in
All middle/elementary school students must be with an adult

Football (6-1 Metro Classic Conference, 7-2 Overall)
On a rainy and windy Friday night the Angels football team traveled to University School of MIiwaukee to finish off their Metro Classic Conference season. Imarion Holder would get on the scoreboard early and often. Holder began the scoring with a 66 yard TD and a 55 yard TD in the first quarter. Early in the 2nd quarter Holder would find the end zone again with an 18 yard touchdown. Shortly after Eddie Vinson would get the passing game going as he found Lamont Hamilton for a 42 yard touchdown and Issac Cantu for a 54 yard touchdown. Holder would cap off the scoring in the 3rd quarter with a 52 yard touchdown. Holder led the team on the ground with 231 yards and 4 touchdowns. Vinson had 95 yards passing and 2 touchdowns. Cantu led the receivers with 54 yards and 1 touchdown and Hamilton had 41 yards receiving and 1 touchdown. With the victory the Angels finish Metro Classic Conference play with a 6-1 record and earn a share of the Metro Classic Conference championship!!!
Boys Soccer (6-0-1) Metro Classic Conference, 9-3-2 Overall)
Tuesday the Angels traveled to Martin Luther for a Metro Classic Conference matchup. The Angels would get on the scoreboard early and often as they were able to cruise to a 8-0 victory in 60 minutes. Many Angels were able to get in the scoring column with a goal or assist. Abel Galvan led the offensive end with a hat track. Andrew Babington had 2 goals and 1 assist while both Alex Wikley and Danny Hernandez had a goal and an assist. Benito Sanchez would score the last goal for the Angels. Edgar Gomez would contribute 2 assists while Carsen Naidl and Diego Sanchez each had 1 assist.
In their final Metro Classic Conference game of the season, the Angels soccer team hosted Dominican on Friday night. The Angels were able to get on the board in the 1st minute as Edgar Gomez would find Carsen Naidl for a goal. Shortly after that Gomez would assist on another goal as he was able to find Santino Garcia. Abel Galvan and Wade Roberson would take over from there as Galvan would score 2 goals and Roberson would have a goal and an assist. In the end the Angels defeated the Knights 5-0. With that victory the Angels ended the Metro Classic Conference season with a 6-0-1 record which earned them the Metro Classic Conference championship!!!
Girls Volleyball (0-7 Metro Classic Conference, 5-14 Overall)
Tuesday night the Angels hosted Racine Lutheran in a Metro Classic Conference matchup for their last regular season game of the season. Racine Lutheran proved why they are conference champion caliber as they defeated the Angels 25-12, 25-9, 25-12. Londyn Pardo led the team with 3 assists and 2 kills. Kaite Winkler would add 2 assists and 1 block.
Boys Volleyball (1-4 Southern Lakes Conference, 3-13 Overall)
Saturday the Angels boys volleyball team traveled to Westosha Central to participate in the Southern Lakes conference boys volleyball tournament. In the first round the Angels would fall to Union Grove 7-25 and 15-25. In the match Ryan To led the Angels with 3 digs and 2 blocks while Lucas Adams had 4 assists and Caleb Scott and Sam Pitrof had 2 kills each. In the 2nd round the Angels defeated Beloit Memorial 25-15, 25-20. Lucas Adams led the team with 11 assists, Sam Pitrof had 6 kills and 2 blocks, Caleb Scott had 6 aces and Jim Billman added 2 blocks. Finally in the 5th place match the Angels would unfortunately fall to Burlington. Sam Pitrof had 8 kills and Lucas Adams had 7 assists.
Cross Country
Saturday the Angels hosted the Metro Classic Conference cross country meet at UW-Parkside. Despite the rainy and windy weather Sean Moore ran a fantastic race as he finished in 13th place with a time of 20:06.03.
