Alumni House Renovation History in Photos

The Alumni House was completely gutted and rehabbed in 2005-07. The renovation created two upper one-bedroom residential living units and two lower office units which are presently used by the St. Catherine's Alumni Association and SCHS Administration. Further improvements include a full basement and large backyard with a patio.

Exterior

Exterior improvements include new roof, gutters, doors and locks, all windows, backyard patio, dawn-to-dusk exterior lighting system in the front, and motion-sensor light system in the back.

Utilities

WE Energies installed a new transformer to service the building, along with 4 new electric meters. The Racine Water Company replaced the water supply line from the street to our building and installed 3 new water meters.

Interior

Interior improvements include new furnaces (4), hot water heaters (3), electrical wiring, outlets and fixtures, smoke alarms, heating and ventilation ducts, bathroom toilets, tubs, sinks, tile flooring, plumbing, interior doors, carpeting, ceiling fans. New stoves, sinks and cabinets were installed in the upper units, while sinks, cabinets and a refrigerator were installed in the lower "office" units.
