• Volunteers Needed:

On May 23rd St. Cats will be hosting golf regionals at Ives Grove and needs volunteers. I am in need of 5 individuals to be out on the course monitoring pace of play. Every 3 holes an individual will be stationed monitoring pace of play. If a group would fall off pace you would let me know so we could send someone out to warn the group and follow them to get them back on pace. I would have all materials and directions for you so you know if a group is off pace. I am also in need of 3 individuals as fore caddies on holes that have blind tee shots. Essentially you would stand/sit in the middle of the hole and inform the group on the tee box when it is safe for them to hit. Golf on that day starts at 9:00am and should be concluded by 3:00, however you would not need to be there the entire day. There would be approximately 2-hour shifts that you would be scheduled for, which I would know closer to the day. If you are willing to help out on that day, please contact me at ttlachac@saintcats.org. Thank you for your consideration

May 8th - May 13th

Track There were no meets scheduled this week for track. Their next meet is the conference meet on May 16th at Martin Luther

Girls Soccer (0-12 overall, 0-6 in Metro Classic Conference) In a non-conference game Monday night at Pritchard Park the Angels hosted the Living Word Lutheran Timberwolves. Defensively the Angels played their best game of the season as they made it very difficult for the Timberwolves to find any traction on offense. However the Angels themselves also had a difficult time scoring and when the 80 minute horn sounded the Angels would find themselves defeated 4-0. The Angels traveled to St. Thomas More for a Metro Classic Conference matchup on Thursday night. Despite the best offensive output of the season for the Angels, the Cavaliers would walk away with a 9-2 victory. Julianna Wilkey scored both goals for the Angels unassisted. Katelyn Godron was able to stop 10 Cavalier shot attempts.

Baseball (6-12 Overall, 2-10 in Metro Classic Conference) Tuesday night the Angels baseball team traveled to Wisconsin Lutheran College to face off against Shoreland Lutheran in a Metro Classic Conference game. Devlyn Kellogg was exceptional on the mound as he threw a complete game 2 hitter with 8 strikeouts to defeat the Pacers 3-0. AJ Ruiz had a great day offensively as he was able to draw 2 walks, steal 3 bases and score 2 runs. Domonic Pitts, John Perugini and Nate Callis each got a hit for the Angels. Thursday night at Horlick Field the Angels hosted Shoreland Lutheran. The Angels were looking for their 2nd win of the week against the Pacers, unfortunately for the Angels the Pacers had different thoughts. Shoreland Lutheran came ready to play and put 9 runs on the board to defeat the Angels 9-2. Terrion Glass-Barnes led the Angels at the plate going 2-3 with a triple and a run scored. Travion Thompson went 1-2 with a double and an RBI. Devlyn Kellogg had the other RBI for the Angels and Nate Callis and Issac Cantu each had a hit. In a non-conference game Friday night, the Angels hosted Living Word Lutheran. The Timberwolves jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 1st inning, however the Angels would battle back and score 10 runs in the first 3 innings to go on and defeat Living Word Lutheran 11-1. John Perugini had a great day at the plate as he went 3-4 with a double, an RBI and 2 stolen bases. Terrion Glass-Barnes and Nate Callis each went 2-3 with an RBI and Mariano Talamantez had 2 RBI’s. Glass-Barnes pitched a great game as he earned the complete game victory with 6 strikeouts. The Angels baseball team finished up their week as they traveled to Martin Luther for a Metro Classic Conference game. The game was back and forth all day long and at the end of the 7th inning the game was tied 4-4. In the 8th the Angels put up a run, but the Spartans battled back in the bottom of the 8th to tie the game up. In the top of the 9th the Angels would plate 3 runs to take a 8-5 lead, however just as they did all day long the Spartans battled back and scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th to defeat the Angels 9-8. Mariano Talamantez and Devlyn Kellogg each went 1-5 with 2 RBI’s while Domonic Pitts went 2-5. Isaac Cantu and AJ Ruiz each scored two runs for the Angels.

Tennis (0-7 Overall, 0-5 in Metro Classic Conference) At Lockwood Park on Tuesday night the Angels hosted Kenosha St. Joseph for a Metro Classic Conference boys tennis match. Jacob Murray and Emiliano Leal were able to earn a victory in doubles competition as they beat their opponents 6-2, 6-1

Softball (3-15 overall, 1-11 in Metro Classic Conference) Tuesday night the Angels traveled to Shoreland Lutheran to face off in a Metro Classic Conference softball game. The game was close headed into the 4th inning as the Angels only found themselves down 6-5, however a couple errors and walks would spell the end for the Angels as the Pacers would score 10 runs in the 4th and go on to defeat St. Catherine’s 17-7. Emmerson Davidovic had a great day at the plate as she went 3-3 with a triple and 2 doubles. Kennedee Clark also went 3-3 and added 2 stolen bases. Aniesa Neave went 3-4 with a triple and an RBI and Mia Prevost added 2 RBI’s. Wednesday night the Angels softball team traveled to Martin Luther to face off in a Metro Classic Conference doubleheader. The Angels softball team took a 4-2 lead into the 3rd inning against Shoreland Lutheran on Thursday night at Roosevelt Park. Aniesa Neave led the team going 1-3 with a home run and 3 RBI’s. Cristina Murguia went 3-3 with a double, Mia Prevost went 2-3 with a double and Shyla Thomas went 2-2 with an RBI. Isabel Sanchez added 2 RBI’s for the Angels. To round out their week, the Angels hosted Racine Horlick on Saturday morning at Roosevelt Park. Some early walks and hit batters would prove to hurt the Angels as the Rebels would go on to defeat St. Catherine’s 14-4. Kennedee Clark led the team going 3-3 with 3 RBI’s.
