Update................

Marty Defatte's '61 H sponsored Goat Finn

Finn was rescued in May 2017 at just 3 weeks old. He is a Boer goat, a breed that is commonly used in production, bred to continue the sale and consumption of goat meat. Finn was meant to be raised for food. Due to an infection, his mother was not able to nurse him. He was being hand reared by his caretaker, and there were difficulties. The process used for care was hurting him, and not providing him with what he needed at this point in his life. His caretaker grew tired of caring for him with his special need, and reached out for a new home.  We hand raised baby Finn in the house with us, until he was big enough to join our herd!  Today he is a big boy, full of love and kindness, with a little bit of silly mixed in.  He adores cuddles, carrot snacks, and laying in the sunshine!
