AI keeps solving really complicated math problems. Last month, an OpenAI model solved a famous problem that had eluded humans for 80 years. And an AI from the startup Axiom Math solved a proof that may change economic theory.

Trip Down Memory Lane............The Good Old Days
Some senior visitors here may remember the W. H. Pugh Coal Co. office building on the southeast corner of State St. and Ontario St.
Stopping in to pay for your home coal delivery was the norm back then.
Still the same building on that corner, but today it is part of the Harbor Lite Yacht Club social facility along that area of State St.

In the end, I finallly threw in the towel.

Racine Happenings...........
As construction continues on the new community center in the Lincoln King neighborhood, we'd like to clarify a question we've received about the facility's name.
The center has always been intended to be named the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center. That name has been reflected throughout the planning and design process and is consistent with the vision shared during community engagement efforts conducted in 2022 and 2023.
More than 5,800 community members participated in those engagement sessions, helping shape the design and priorities for the facility now under construction. Community feedback directly informed the final plans for the center.
The community center is one component of a broader neighborhood revitalization effort that also includes new housing opportunities and other investments within the Lincoln King neighborhood.
When completed, the facility will feature a prominent mural of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. welcoming visitors to the center.
We encourage residents to follow official City of Racine channels for accurate information and project updates as this exciting community investment moves forward.
