Trip Down Memory Lane............The Good Old Days
REMEMBERING THE PEDAL-POWERED ICE CREAM MAN
On a hot summer day, back in the 50s and 60s. kids would listen for the bells of the "sammy bar man" who peddled his ice cream cart throughout the neighborhoods. Remember running to your house and asking for a dime from your parents, so you could enjoy a cold and refreshing ice cream bar? Those were the days! Later, I remember "Mister Softee" would announce his coming by playing popular songs on the truck's loudspeaker. Are there any ice cream trucks still roaming our city streets?
